The Cottage by the River

This isn’t the real Cottage by the River. There isn’t an actual Cottage by the River in the present. The Cottage by the River series describes an imagined future of an old woman reminiscing and writing about her past. Through her words, she reanimates life events and is forced to metaphysically wrestle with the traumatic and the celebratory moments of her life. Based on the lived experience of the author, this series serves as a conduit to examine present-day experiences with the imagined wisdom of a wizened old woman, writing and creating in a cottage by the river.
